What are the best flowers to plant that will come back each year?

Question:

Answers:
Look for perennials that best suit the climate where you are. I like lavenders because they stay evergreen during cold months and are ever blooming starting early spring. Gardenia is one flower that comes back year after year, and azalea comes in a lot of colors, and adds so much interest to your garden. Your nearest nursery should have a very nice display of flowering perennials, so go check them out.

Just go to a nursery somewhere and tell them that you want perennials and not annuals, and just pick out the ones that look good to you. Anybody that knows about plants can tell you which ones require more attention.
Contact a local nursery (NOT Lowe's or Home Depot). They can recommend for your location, the best perennials.
This questions has a lot of itsacording in it. Ok it's according to where you live, it's according to your soil type, it's according to what kind you like, etc. Try here http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/perennials/... or just google perennials and answer all your itsaccordings. Hope you find your answer. Good luck.
perennials are the way you want to go there are hundreds of varieties to pick from but make sure you get the ones that are idea for your area including if they belong in sun or shade
Perennials come back again and again. There are lots of different kinds. You can buy bulbs for tulips, hostas, etc... you can buy the plant (beautiful ground covers), or you can even buy seeds. I have beautiful bachelor buttons that have come up for several years now. I also love poppies, daisies, herbs (like basil, lavender, chives) Chinese lanterns are a really different looking perennial. Choose what you like and what works in your area. Be careful to make sure the soil is appropriate and that there is the right amount of sunlight and moisture for the plants to do well.
