Where do you plant gerber daisies?

Question:

Answers:
Gerbera daisies like sun and well drained soil (and containers with drainage.) Keep them from drying out if they are in containers. Remove spent flowers. Regular fertilizing helps.

Gerberas are not frost tolerant, so I bring mine in and keep them under florescent lights for 12 hours over the winter. I water water them only once a week and do not fertilize in the winter months.

They are such a show in my porch containers that I would probably use and treat them as annuals even if I didn't take them in over the winter.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Gerbers need plenty of sun to bloom, but if you live in a hot region, it's best that they have some afternoon shade. Don't forget fertilizer!
