What are the best flowers to plant in fall?

Question:Vegetables too.

Answers:
I plant perrennials in the fall because thats usually when you can buy them at clearance prices in fact I just picked up 16 delphiniums free because the grocerie store had stopped wattering them and were getting ready to throw them away-you can plant alot of things in the fall as long as there are about 2 weeks of good growing time for the roots to develop I plant some seeds like pansies, marigolds and all of the spring blooming bulbs like tulips, dafodils, irises, lillies it's pretty open and I am a zone 4 also(montana) good luck!

The rule of thumb...plant spring-flowering bulbs in fall, and fall-flowering bulbs in spring.
I live in zone 4, so we don't plant seeds for flowers or veggies, as the winter will kill them.
