Which is manure good for --veggies or flowers?

Question:I remember one of these doesn't care for manure too much, was it flowers?

Answers:
Dehydrated or composted manure is good for flowers and veggies. I always mix it in the soil when I'm planting. On my established plants, I add some around the plant every spring.

Fresh manure...right off the farm, is a bit harsh for plants. I know the farmers put it on their fields directly, but that's a hay field and a lot tougher.

Fresh manure can and will burn tender transplants. If you are going the farm manure route, you need to get this spring what you intend to use a year from now. Start a compost pile and add the fresh manure in layers between the kitchen waste and brown matter like leaves and twigs. The composting process should also kill the weed seeds that are always present in fresh manure.

flowers...it burns their roots.
Only if you place too much on the flowers.
They all like it, but it should be mixed and broken down slightly with compost. Otherwise it can burn (especially chicken and sheep manure). For flowers, put some mulch on top too.
you should let it sit for at least a year, under some straw. don't apply it fresh. after that, it won't be as toxic and it should be filled with worms.
then, use it on everything.
great for gardens and will be great with flowers too, if it is seasoned.
When planting it is good to put a mixture of manure, humas, and plant tone in each hole (for veggies, flowers, bushes). This will promote better growth.
It`s good for both as long as it has been composted at least a year. I`m lucky enough to live where buffalo are raised and can get stuff that's been composting for 10 to 15 years. I till lots and lots into my garden every year and use several 5 gallon buckets full to dig into my flower beds at the start of every growing seasons.
