Cherry tree 4yrs no blossom no cherries why ?

Question:we have had the tree for 4rs now and it has never blossomed or given fruit, also during the period when it should be doing one or the other the leaves go brown and look burnt . it gets full light and is still growing and soil is good is it a duff tree or what help

Answers:
There are some fruit trees that need a male and female to pollinate. That could be your problem. The one we bought last year does not need that. Did have blossoms, but too young for fruit. Check with your nursery.

I'm not possitive about cherry trees, but many trees need another tree (cherry) nearby for crosspollination. This applies to many plants, even corn crops need more than one row. hope this helps.
theyre probably ornamental flowering cherries
You have to have another cherry tree next to it so they can be fertilized by bees.
proper term it is barren
