How do I get rid of aphids on my outdoor plants?
Question:Is there a product I can buy to get rid of aphids on my outdoor plants?
Answers:
There's an active ingredient called; "Imidaclorprid" in several products found at your local hardware store.one of which is called "Bayer's Advanced Tree & Shrub Insect Control". It is a systemic product designed to kill most sucking insects (except mites)...such as aphids, whiteflies, scale insects, thrips, etc. A single application will last an entire season. It's very safe and easy to use.
You simply mix it with water and then apply it around the base of your ornamental plants. The roots will then absorb the product and then translocate up into the upper portion of the plant...including tender/succulent growing tips.
I've used it on all of my ornamental flowers, shrubs, trees and vegetables (early in the season) and haven't had a problem with any sucking insects.
EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

go to a garden center and ask for a spray against them
spray with mild soap and water and saturate the oil too.
go get some ladybugs
Go down to Home Depot or Lowes and in there garden center they will have chemicals but my favorite thing to do is to buy a bag of lady bugs they are very cheap and will eat the aphids without having to use any chemicals and kids love them as well.
have fun
pyretrhrum --- or you could go the natuaral way of a crushed garlic clove to five litres of water . good luck .
The cheapest and most effective thing I have found is to get a spray botle and fill with water mixed with dishsoap and just spray down the plant and the soil. You will have to spray it a couple of times. It won't hurt the plant at all. Good Luck
