Which is the least expensive way to cover house radiators?
Question:I need to cover 2 house radiators. Which is the cheapest way to do it? I was told to make a box for each of them, but that it would be expensive. Thanks to all who answer.
Answers:
It's really quite cheap to by a few pre-cut pieces of thin plywood and some 1/2 inch strips to make a box out of. If the radiators are still in use, consider using lattice instead of plywood. Of course, if they are no longer in use, you could just remove them.
If you can find old bookcases (think garage sale,freecycle.com) take off one side and take off shelves. Place on side. You can decorate how you want just don't put to close to radiators.
nylon bags, any walmart will give them away for free.
it is time to move furniture! Buy a shelf at home depot, lay on top of radiator- move couch in front of radiator and now you have a sofa table. Decorate with three - five objects of different colors, textures, and size, and a lamp.
measure width and length...go to lumber store and get ply wood cut to size buy cheap gallon of paint and put together with finish nails...its cheap makes good shelf and long lasting
