How many sq. ft. tiles are needed in an 8 x 8 Bathroom?

Question:I'm going to work on a do it yourself project and I want to put tile flooring in the guest bathroom. The room is 8 by 8, How many square feet tiles will I need?

Answers:
8' x 8' sounds like 64 square feet. You will also want about another six square feet for cut pieces.

Remember, the perimeter tiles should not be smaller than one half a full tile. Lay out the room properly for a professional installation.

While a standard tile cutter (score type) would be acceptable for almost all cuts, if there are any special shapes required you will need an electric tile cutter (Home Depot or such).

If you are going to do a tile baseboard then the joints in the baseboard should match the floor tile.

you need 64 square feet plus 5% for mistakes.
Hm.Do the math.......
One piece of tile=1 foot.
Bathroom mes. 8x8 64
I would say about ....64
Check out the amout of tile in the package, you'll prob.need more than one pack.
64 tiles, grab atleast 10% extra for waste.
If the floor space to cover is 8X8 then you will need 64 tiles plus about 8 more for cutting and breakage. If the room is 8X8 but includes a bath tube you will need to subtract its sq footage
Jesus! Have we become a nation of idiots?
