Anyone ever used/installed or knows anything about Duro Acoustik soundproofing rubber underlayment?

Question:Hello,
I am installing floating engineered floor in my condo. I used cork and Quiet Walk as soundproofing in bedrooms. For a living roomI wanted to upgrade to better IIC/STC numbers and bought Duro Acoustik rubber underlayment 1/4 inch or 6 mil made out of 100% recycled tires. The problem I faced as soon as I brough it home is strong tire odor from the rubber sheets. It is so strong that I almost getting a headache when I am around it. Retailer I bought material from said the odor will go away in a few days, but I am concerned for my family health. Does anyone know anything about this product?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Answers:
I've had it put down a couple of times in different condos, and your retailer is correct, the smell will go away. As far as not being able to stand the smell until then, is there any way you can block the room off for a couple of days? If so, open windows and give it a little time. Hope this helps.
