Is there a way to make drywall mud dry faster?

Question:Or do i just need to let it dry?

Answers:
Just let it dry. Forcing the process could be bad.

Run a dehumidifier to lower humidity, AC works too, increase temperature, run a fan, it will still probably take overnight to dry enough to work it though.
Use the setting up type mud. You can get a mix that will dry in 30 minuets. Of course it is not premixed since it would setup in the bucket. You really need a drill with a mixing paddle to mix it without lumps.

You can also increase the temperature of the room and use a dehumidifier to help it dry faster.
Try putting a fan in the room and aim at the mud, it should speed up the drying.
A fan in the room will help but its takes time for it to dry proper
If you are patching a small area you could use a hair dryer.
