As others have already said, this type of drill is perfect if all you are going to be using it for is general use around the house. You mentioned however that you need it for woodworking. Neither the Black and Decker or the Craftsman drill is going to work for you.

If you must have a cordless drill then you are going to need one that is rated for heavy duty use like the ones suggested by others. (Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Porter Cable, Bosch, Rigid, or Skil are some top names to look into) The problem with trying to use a B&D or Craftsman drill is they lack the torque you're going to want. They'll work fine for a very short period of time if they don't bind up in hardwood but it will be a VERY short period. The battery will have to be recharged frequently because the motor has to draw more power from it to do the job.

Another thing that was suggested by other is the sie of the drill is inadequate. The higher the voltage of drill you have the less you'll have to recharge it. The downside to this is a higher voltage drill means more weight. You may not think to much about the weight if you only have to use your drill once in a while. Trust me when I say this though, a drill is probably the most used portable power tool in any woodshop. Some woodshops now are even requiring their employees own there own codless drill along with general handtools.

Many have suggested a 18 volt and that is a good suggestion. Personally, I have a 14.4 volt with an extra battery that I keep on the charger. I wouldn't go less than 14 volts, you're going to appreciate the extra power.

If you look into the manufaturers I mentioned above you're going to be looking at prices ranging anywhere from $80 to $200. Another option I would suggest looking into, if you are on a tight budget, would be getting a corded drill from the same manufaturers I listed above. Corded drills have more power than cordlees one, don't require any battery changes, and are far cheaper. The downside to these are obviously portability. But you could use your corded drill for the time being, save up for a quality cordless in the future, and set your corded aside for when you need to bore large holes that your cordless may noy be able to handle.

buy a dewalt 18 volt
My experience with Sears product lines hasn't been good. Especially when I want to get them repaired or serviced.

If you want to know what the pro's recommend, I see mostly DeWalt, Makita,Bosch, or Millwauki on the job sites I work on.

Black & Decker, or Craftsman are for the home do-it-yourselfer market. If you aren't going to use the drill very much, then you will probably be OK with the one you put the link up for. The price is kind of hard to argue with. If it breaks down, you will be better off just throwing it away, & buying a new one at that price.
Sears cordless drills are likely manufactured by TTI/Ryobi. I believe they make drills for other popular brands as well. Some say the Rigid line is made by them also.

While the price looks very good for the package I would consider a 14.4v model as a minimum if you plan to use often.

I have had a DeWalt 14.4v drill for many years and have never had a problem.and I use it ALOT.

Good luck!
Definitely go with the Dewalt 18v. I've had one for years and it has worked very well for me.
Skip the B&D power tools - pretty cheap and not well-built. I highly recommend the DeWalt cordless 18v. Good torque, good balance, very powerful. It's a lot more expensive than the B&D, but well worth it for my money. If you are looking for an inexpensive drill, buy a corded one. The power and battery life on a cheap cordless is much more of a headache than a cord.
Just remember you get what you pay for. Dewalt is worth the price.
for $30 bucks i would say its a good deal. its not the most powerful drill but if it lasts 6 months you got your moneys worth
Unless you are going to need a drill every day that is a good buy. It is inexpensive and will do the job for you as an amateur. The batteries will go and it is more expensive to buy new batteries than it is to buy a new drill with batteries. If you are not using an expensive drill every day the batteries still go and they are expensive to replace. For use around the house you are better to buy the cheap model and just replace it when the batteries weaken.
This should do good for general home use. I used to buy the Black and Decker brand but had trouble with the batteries failing after a year. I now use the Ryobi brand from Home Depot due to the low price and the many different tools you can use with the same battery. The battery pack replacement sells for $24.95 for the 18 volt system. I use the small circurlar saw and the drill and plan on buying the recipocating saw soon.
Stay away from B&D and I don't have much good to say about Craftsman anymore either. I have had a couple of Makitas that just keep going and going. One was stolen but the other is so old that I'm tired of it and thinking about a new one. I would probably spring for a Ryobi too, but I'd never have another B&D.
Black and Decker is basically cheap junk and Dewalt is manufactured by Black and Decker. I consider BD and Dewalt both junk. I would suggest that you buy Makita or Hitachi, both used by many professionals, but if y ou are planning on really using it a lot, I would buy an 18V Bosch. Any case, buy an 18 V.

Bosch is more expensive, but I have had one for 10 years, dropped it off of a 30 foot ladder and got it and used it right afterwards.
How much woodworking are you going to do? 18volt systems are much more powerful and last longer. I would check out Ebay for a used or rebuilt Dewalt system.
If you are just an occasional user, it should be good enough, but if your going to use it a lot or use it heavily, spend the money, get a good one.
Dewalt, Bosch, Porter Cable or my choice, Panasonic, my Panasonic 12 volt blows away all my friends 18 volt units.
If you use it a lot (or plan to) I would step up to an 18 Volt lithium ion system more torque, better battery life. Last a lot longer. Dewalt is a good unit
