Any good idea's how to get rid of club root ?

Question:My cabbages have just been hit.... I bought 1 tonne
of screened soil last winter. what you think ?

Answers:
sadly club root is very hard to eradicate from the garden. it is possible it has come with the garden soil you purchased last winter.club root affects all the brassica family and turnips and sweeds that are of the same family.there is a liquid sold in the uk that is mixed into a paste and put onto the plant roots before planting.this will help the problem. most importantly you must rotate the brasica crop every year and try and use at least a four year rotation.

always use crop rotation ie never plant carrots and lettuce in the same beds year after year.sow in drills 1 row say of carrots another of lettuce another of beet, this way one pest fights off the other keeping your plants trouble free.
