How do you level a pine t&g floor for a new kitchen and new flooring?

Question:age of house: +70 years, unlevel up to about 1", boiler and water heater below (no room to jack up)

Answers:
I had the same problem and pulled out all walnut and pine flooring. I installed Bamboo T&G for strength and water control issues - damp and all wetness. The best thing I've done, going 5 years.

IF you can't get at it from top or bottom to level, how about sideways? If this is an exterior room, check you the house framebetween the house and foundation, and see if you can attack it that way. If not, you might have to remove the floor, re-do the sub floor and then replace the floor. I'd sure recommend working around that boiler somehow.
There is a very easy fix for this. First use a waterproof membrane. Mercrete is a great one. You roll it on to the floor just like paint. Once this dries, you use a self leveling grout. There are many kinds and most do a great job. Best of all you can get it at lowes or home depot. After the leveler has dried (it may take a few coats depending on how bad the floor is) you can lay tile right on it, or lay carpet right over it, etc. Good Luck! Really a cost efective way to go!
