What can I wrap the burner cords with to keep from burning in a 300º smoker?

Question:I have two electric burners inside of a smoker I built. the temperature gets to 300º if both burners are on. How can I protect the cords with by wraping them so they don't catch on fire inside the smoker at 300º?

Answers:
You just get that thick black tape and wrap it around it.(I would not try what I just told you if I were you!)

Fiberglass tape. You can also buy heat resistant sheaths as well. I'll give you a link to it. It is good for up to 500º.
Pappa Poopy is right, fiberglass tape is a good choice but you will need to be careiful and not cook any food in the smoker the first time you use it after applying the tape...Nobody want's fiberglass in their food. Let things burn off. And it's a good idea to wear gloves when applying the tape.
