What is the best way to hang a heavy mirror onto a hollow internal wall?
Question:should i use rawlplugs (or however you spell it) or a hollow wall anchor? does a wall anchor work in the same way as a rawlplug??
Answers:
Wall anchors and rawl plugs do similar jobs but in differerent ways. I would recommend using these redidriva screws for a heavy object on a plasterboard wall, dead easy to use and very strong too

if the wall is plasterboard you will need special plasterboard fixings, any diy shop will sell
If you have a heavy mirror you should.
#1) maybe tring it on another wall
#2)Use a lot of sticky tack
#3)Use the 1"by 2" nail
#4) or go on google and get your answers
#5) or ask another person rather than me( call me momo)
Try and find the wooden battons behind the plasterboard. That should give you something stronger to nail or screw into.
There are special rawlplugs that open up on the other side of the wall once they have been pushed through so they cant come back through. B&Q do them as do most DIY shops - I think they are light grey in colour. Make sure you use large, long screws and that you use quite a few screw points to even out the weight on each screw. If the mirror is too heavy it could still pull the screw out of the rawlplug.
if you are hanging it on drywall, use an egg mcmuffin and elmers glue. its easy and inexpensive.
You don't you will break the mirrow and have seven years bad luck.
the best fixings ive found for heavey objects on a plasterboard wall are brolly anchor fixings,, theyre great!!
mirror mastic its great stuff it comes in a caulk tube. You make littlle curly cues on the back of the mirror and stick it on. you will need something to hold it up until it dries.
Just don't do it. Use a smaller mirror or use a mirror that has a stand with it. I you hang any heave item on any light material will result in disaster.
this is always a problem in modern houses.first try to find a stud nearby as studs as usually 16" apart on most walls.if thats not possible go you your local hardware and get some fixings for a stud wall.your local hardware will show you diferent solutions .one of which is a toggle bolt!!
