Can you use bleach or dawn dish soap to clean out a vinyl lined pool once it is emptied?

Question:any one know?

Answers:
I see no reason why not

Mix them both in a bucket with water and scrup it out really good. We use dish soap with a splash of bleach for cleaning the dishes and counters and it works like a charm and kills bachteria like salmenila and other things that can also cause food poisoning.

Best Regards.
I would not use dawn dish soap simply because it requires a good deal of rinsing to get rid of the suds. However, a bleach solution would be okay since the pool chemicals for the water in the pool does contain chlorine bleach. My suggestion would be to go to the pool supply section of your K Mart or WalMart and find out if there is a solution made for the vinyl liners. You would not want to try to guess how strong your solution should be -- it might compromise the tensile strength of the vinyl and shorten its useful life...That would be a lot more expensive than paying a few extra dollars for a 'designer' bleach solution in the pool section of your store...Better safe than sorry...
Bleach can strip linings and burn holes. I would definitely go with the dish soap, it is much gentler.
Use dish soap. That's what the manufacturer tells you to use.
