Is there such a thing as pale carpet tacks?
Question:I've got some left-over carpet from a room I had done and I thought it might be nice to do a run up the stairs with stair rods, but I thought you had to tack the edges down, the carpet is biscuit coloured so I don't want to use black tacks, any suggestions? Any other way I can fix the edges down (not right to the edge of the step, a run down the middle of the stairs)

get a piece of cardboard, stick your tack in it
then used a can of spray paint and paint them
choose a color close to your carpet
If you have allot of stairs to do you could rent an air powered staple gun.
once youve hammerd in normal tacks,, you wont be able to see them
