What is a good portable air conditioner w/out a window exhaust, only a plug?
Question:i am looking for a portable air conditioner that does not have a window exhaust - i prefer those w/ a plug so that i don't have to worry about leaving my window open. if you have any ideas, please forward them to me.

The heat must go somewhere. Or you want an evaporative cooler. An AC unit needs an exhaust.
Sounds like you need a fan with a bag of ice in front of it.
Maybe a swamp fan. They're cooled by water, and you can roll them anywhere. Many wal-marts have them for around $30 (i think). My best friend has one and she loves it!
I have portable air conditioners in every room. Before I purchased, I did a lot of searching and every portable air conditioner model has a window exhaust. Swamp coolers also need an exhaust and I wouldn't install one of them unless I lived in a very dry, arid place like Phoenix. You certainly don't want a swamp cooler where there is high humidity.
