get a long mop and thrust it repeatedly into the toilet, messy but it does work!
Use a plunger,or you can buy a CO2 plunger that will blast all at once.
Use a plunger. Let the air bubble out from under the plunger first. Then cover the drain and use small short thrusts to loosen the clog.
Use a plunger or what called a closet snake. You can google these terms to see what they are. Home Depot also has a helpful page to discuss unclogging.
I used an auger - it will grab things that are clogging the toilet within 4 or so feet (which I guess is where most of clogs happen). It's just a long metal stick with a curve at the end. I got it at Wal-Mart, so you can probably find one anywhere. You have to shove them in pretty hard and keep cranking - this little egg beater looking thing on the end will snag whatever it is that's causing the clog. Works great!
DO NOT USE A PLUNGER... I can't stress this enough.. Your toilet uses what they call a wax ring to seal the joint between the toilet and the drain pipe.. Using a plunger can actually "blow out" the wax ring which would cause your toilet to leak all over the floor... Get yourself a snake and snake the drain...
