About Dusk to Dawn Sensor on Lanterns?
Question:I have installed two Lanterns for my house with the Dusk to Dawn Sensors. I just can’t figure out why the bulbs keep flashing? It’s totally dark outside, it should just be on. I have checked the Sensors they do not have any switches that I can adjust the sensitivity. Also the manual does not say anything about the sensors, but you aspect that the manufacture to cover every detail about this product in the manual. I need help, does anyone know anything about this??????

If there is any light hitting the photo eye it will cause this. I had the problem with the street light hitting the eye. To solve this problem I bought a photo eye that you plug lights etc into and mounted it at the power supply on the back porch and bypass the existing photo eye. No problem since. So you might want to look at doing something like that.
Another possibility could be a reflection from the lantern itself.Look for any reflective surface or object in the area and try covering,or moving it .Good Luck
The only thing I could add to what you have been told, is certain type of lights require certain size bulb . normaly mercury vapor or hps lights.
This is prob. not your problem but it was the only thing that wasn't covered already
