Iwant to fix a mixer shower.?

Question:The cold water tank in the loft does n't give enough pressure to mix with the hot water from the hot water tank. Can i connect the shower to the cold water mains pipe. What type of mixer shower shall i go for if this can be done.

Answers:
Do not connect a shower mixer to the rising cold water main it will back feed into the hot water tank and cause it to overflow, fit a shower pump or a thermostatic power sower ( it has a built in pump ) Hope this gets you sorted

Do not connect the cold supply from the mains because if someone turns on another tap on that main the pressure will change and the hot water flow will increase. Only use a header tank to supply the water. Your solution maybe to invest in a power shower pump.
Good Luck
The balance between the hot water and he cold water needs to be constant. If for example you use the mains water supply and the toilet is flushed you will end up boiled!
Use only a shower booster pump as this will resolve the pressure issue and will give a nice constant head of pressure.
i would personally look at a mira event shower they are excellent! cold cistern fed hot tank fed and shower has in built pump that delivers a great pressure have a look at them you will not be dissapointed

Don't connect to mains pressure - too dangerous ! Ask a plumber to have a look at this for you and he will recommend a good product - but try the Aqualisa.com web site for details of their products which answer lots of specific needs and are well priced quality.
