Which is better Congoleum or Domco?
Question:We want the wood look vinyl floor in our kitchen, dining room and bathroom and were told that Domco may be porous?
Answers:
Both products are good, each has different colors and styles and price points. I have used Nafco(by Domco) for years in many different areas, and always found it to be a quality product, I've never known it to be porous
like with any product it just depends on what you want. Congoleum and Domco are both good products, you get what you pay for when looking at the vinyl, look at the edge and you can tell how thick it is and how thick the wearlayer is on the top, the better the wearlayer the better it will last. Congoleum does make a style called xclusive that has a scotchgard layer that help repel a little better not sure if Domco does, If you have any seams make sure that the installer uses the correct seam sealer for the correct brand and style. Congoleum has about 6 or 7 different sealers. so make sure whomever does it gets you the correct stuff. You can even go online and look up the vinyl.
