You can use a skill saw with a ceramic-cutting blade. The blades are usually made of a different material than steel. Anyone in a home depot or DIY center can help you out with the proper blade. The proper blade should be one made from a composite type material that doesn't get too hot (and it's not cheap).
The trick now is to set the blade at the proper cutting height. If the tile is 1/4" thick for example, then set the blade to cut at 1/4." If the tile is 3/8" thick, set the blade at 3/8."
good luck
You'll have to get a pro to answer this one. Cutting ceramic is tricky. Sorry I couldn't help.
To cut ceramic tile you should be using a wet saw, and you can rent one if you do not have access to one.
It is essentially, a compound miter saw that has a water supply to the blade because when cutting through the ceramic the blade gets excessively hot. it needs to be cooled so water is supplied to the blade as you are cutting. Since you're using a compound miter you can cut any angle you please.
You must wear eye safety when operating these saws - one piece of ceramic can cause serious permanent damage - - Don't Take Chances.
