Can I put VCT (vinyl flooring) in my garage?

Question:I don't want the specialty flooring, just regular vinyl. What temperatures (high to low) will it work best in? What about the warranty? Are the tiles (VCT) ok, or would the actual roll be better?

Answers:
Yes you can use the VCT tile in your garage. Make sure you put a sealant on the tiles in case you have any oil leaks from your autos.

As far as the tires turning the tile yellow..Wonder why all those new car show rooms don't have yellow on their VCT tile from parking cars there 24/7? Could it be because it is sealed?

IT YOUR HOUSE PUT WHAT EVER U WANT
Why would a dumb girl take the time to respond if she doesnt know the difference?

VCT tiles are the way to go if bonding to concrete. They do not scar like vinyl would because of the density, they are not proun to cracking under cars, only hard impacts.
1) If you are not using the garage as a place to store your vehicle, rather as an additional room to your house and you have gone through the process of putting doors or walled in the space then you can put anything you want in there.

2) If you are still using the garage as a garage but don't want the look of the concrete floor you have a couple of options. First you can get an epoxy floor paint that works well, in my opinion still looks not much different than concrete. Second there is concrete stain you can buy. When applied it looks a lot like some of the specialty wall treatments i.e. brushed, suede, you get the idea. Third you can put VCT tile down. works well you can get them in multiple colors for design. they will take both the heat and cold and are fairly cheap to buy.

3) Don't put sheet vinyl in your garage it will not work the way you want it to.
Good luck.
I have to answer this one: Why would Brent A, or Dumb Girl, or anyone else suggest that you put vinyl composition tile in the garage if you are going to store a car in it? The rubber in your tires will turn the tiles yellow, and you won't be able to get it out.
Yeah, but why?
