What support do I use to make sweet pea plantlet climb around a tree, they are 5 cms tall & have no support?

Question:I have planted sweet pea seeds around the circumference of a fully grown cherry tree. right now they have sprouted and are 5 cms tall. what kind support do I need to give them. I am trying to wind them around twigs which I dig in near them. but this is temporary.

Answers:
I would purchase this trellis netting product and loosely staple it to the tree. The staples won't harm the tree since they will only go through the outer bark. I've used it along a fence before for my sweet peas and it worked out great.
