How do I build a piano skid board?

Question:I am looking for a 6' piano skid board for a baby grand piano. Does anyone have any designs, websites, or instructions?

Answers:
I had made one by ripping a 3/4" sheet of marine-grade ply into 18" panels, and glued two of them together with activated resin glue. I cut one end at 45 degree angle and sanded it smooth. I screwed a hardwood block (18") on the opposite end thru the ply and into the block, with glue also. covered the piano side of the board and coated the bottom side with melted paraffin wax.
Straps hook to D hooks on sides.

A piano skid board is very similar to a hand truck. Make sure it will support the piano (ie; wide enough) and that it will take the weight of the piano. I found a couple of sites that show pictures of skid boards and dollies being used to move pianos along with more detailed information about moving them. http://sonic.net/~ckelly/seekay/kelly_mo...
