How do I wire LED lights to a battery?

Question:I'm wanting to build a colored spotlight for my haunted house. I'm looking to wire a few LED's to a 9 volt battery. I'm sure I need a resistor. But, I'm wondering do I need one for each led or can I wire them led's together in some way so I only need one resistor? I've found a couple site on this but, I'm not finding how to wire multiple LED's. Thanks all.

Answers:
Here's a couple pages on LED spotlight construction. You should be able to calculate what's needed for your particular setup.
Good luck!
