How do you dispose of white spirit?

Question:the bottle says not to pour down drains or expose to the environment, so what should i do with it please?

Answers:
leave the bottle stood un disturbed for a few days and the white spirit will separate from the residue and settle on the top this can be poured of and re-used as it will be nearly clean. The residue which will solidify can be disposed of the dustbin

If you have a large amount of it then you need to contact a specialist disposal company http://www.wastecare.co.uk/index.html...
If it is just a small quantity then take it to your local authority run civic amenity site and ask them what facilities they have.
Ask your local council, or website below:
If it is clean, pour it into your diesel car tank, or central heating tank if you have oil fired C/H If dirty ,take it to your local council yard where there are facilities for dealing with old engine oil etc DONT attempt to get rid of it by pouring it into landfill, it ruins the environment.
leave outside in full view and wait for local wino he will dispose of it
mix it into your paint for a 1st coat, allow to dry then cover with a top coat of better stuff, OR do as most people do, put it on a shelf in the garage and forget it. This will void your fire insurance cover but so what, you probably have a tin of petrol or something else in there already
As it is a distilate of petroleum I suggest you burn it.

Light a fire burn garden rubbish and old cardboard soaked in the white spirit. Do Not throw onto an existing fire as the fumes will ignite first and you could get caught in the backdraught caused. Use it sensible.

Do Not throw onto Bar-Be-Ques for the same reason.
take it to your local recycling centre they have special containers for this sort of thing or leave the top off it will evaporate over time
