ahh piano hinge and the rest is up to your resoursefullness why not add a little safe room maybee a place to store some supplys and some wine maybee for at least two weeks and if you want to i think it can be done when you pull a certain book if you want to how about this sleep on it pray about it or meditate and start one simple step all that sound very intresting
First off that sounds awesome. I would think you could just make door by putting hinges on the book case. Just be sure you leave enough room for the book case to swing out.
Use a piano hinge. I saw it done on a home show a month or two ago. Good luck.
