Advice about some awesome colors to paint my room?

Question:I have 4 walls in my room. I want to do 2 colors and alternate walls with each color. I really want to do something with brown because I really like coffee and I have some things to hang on the brown walls that are in that color pallete. I was also thinking about doing the other 2 walls a light shade of bright blue. What do you think? What other suggestions do you have?

Answers:
Chocolate brown was used a bunch in the 70's. What I've seen a lot lately is painting a wall one color, but they look like stipes because everyother stripe is glossy and the other is a mat finish. I like the idea of like a plum color with tan (or Hayes-which is a color you can find at Home Depot). That would be very pretty. Have the plum color painted with the glossy stipes...kinda gives it a textured look.

You can also go to home depo and maybe lowes has this too, but they have computers that you can use and it gives you a plain white room and you can play around with different colors.to see what goes together. We did it when we painted our house and it helps us a lot.

Have fun!

Brown and light blue sound very pretty :)

I always thought that Brown and Red went well together, but I love the idea of a bright color. So I say go with that <3
brown and turquoise are very popular now!!
Plum and coffee. Very warm and relaxing. :)
brown and like a soft orange.. if ur going for the rustic..

i think yellow and blue woudl be nice.. soft colors for them
brown and light blue
brown and tan
brown and lime green
brown and lavendar is different.
i would stay with the light brown/beige color and the light blue would look o so cute! u can also use instead of light blue- pale yellow or a babyish pink and maybe a grass green
my friend just painted her room 3 different colors.. it looks SOOOOOOOOO good. she used one color (a light lavender) for ONE accent wall, and a light pea greenish color for all the other walls. then, she used a dark purplish color for the trim around the windows and doors, and white for the ceiling. it looks really awesome.
Light brown and darker brown
hi if u r nature is polite then use cool colours like blue pink if u r hot then use solid colours like magenta dark blue if ur sweet then use strawberry pink coloralternately and sky blue colors
don't use red, it raises blood pressure.
blue and pink are both soothing colors, and good for a bedroom. you might want to go with a sky blue or baby pink. the combo of either of those with brown is popular right now and you would probably be able to find tons of accent pillows, furniture, etc. to match!
Brown and bright blue sound pretty wierd to me. I like brown, but the bright blue bothers me and I think it would clash with the brown.

My wife just painted our family room a copper color called Tiger Eye at Sherwin Williams. With our oatmeal colored carpet and white trim, it looks phenomenal. Everyone that comes to the house comments on it. It looks great with our dark brown couch and loveseat.

One of my kids rooms is painted Chartruese (SP?) and wine colored on opposite walls.meaning the two opposing walls are the same color. We chose the chartreuse because it matched the shag carpet in the room. This was 6 years ago and it still looks trendy. Who would have thought the 30 year old shag carpet would be in style again?
no brown
brown is yucky

how about multi coloured

or think of all the colours u like and use them - if i had the money to buy loads of diff colours of paint and the time to redecorate i would use sky blue, pale pink, Dark purple, and maybe even yellow & green - but i am quite happy with my current paint (pale purple) which i painted myself 2yrs ago this summer and i painted my mums bedrooom aswell.
