You can use a spray bottle filled with warm water and spray the strip of paper. Let it sit for 2 or 3 minutes and start pulling it off. a putty knife is helpful but, if you come to a hard spot just spray it again. Try not to get into the dry wall with the putty knife, because you will have to repair it later.
There's a product called DIF, available at hardware stores.
Zap spray works well.
liquid fabric softener and warm water. Wipe on mixture with a sponge and it will loosen the paper so it should peal of easily.
Rent a wallpaper steamer. It will save you hours of hard work.
As someone has said already A Spray bottle and HOT water.
I add a few cap fulls of vinegar to the water in a quart sprayer. The vinegar keeps the goo from re-Harding as fast a plain water.. A 5" putty knife will be help full along with a 5 gal bucket and sponges.
You scratch it with a knife and spray hot water & fabric softner mix onto it.
buy dif it shoud work
Hi...tough job been there and done that! Get a spray bottle and fill it with warm water and spray down the wall. Get the edges real good. Let it soak for a few minutes. If it has been a long time up try using a bucket and sponge instead, but you want to get it thoroughly wet. once you can grip an end piece slowly pull off if you get stuck before it splits and tears spray with you spray bottle for lubrication. I hope that helped. Good luck and Good housekeeping' PammyPooh
There is a little tool called a paper tiger you can get at home depot. It puts little cuts in the paper. then you can use a wallpaper stripper(diff is one). I use a sray bottle. After you spray let it sit for a few mins.
I would definitely recommend the steamer as well. Also you should rough up the surface so the moisture can get behind the wallpaper. Then use a putty knife or something like it to just scrape the residue off the wall. It should come of easily if it is wet enough.
If it hasn't been up for too long it should be fairly easy. Take a corner and peel it up first to make sure the wall is painted underneath, if you don't know. If it has been, peel the face of the paper off. It will leave a paper backing which should come off with warm water, a big sponge or rag, and a lot of elbow grease. When I have taken it off I didn't even wet it before I peeled the face off but this could do with the type of paper. Hope this helps!!
this looks like a easy way to remove it.
