How do you fix a small hole in a wall?
Question:
Answers:
how small is small? hammer head size? a good gob of spackling or joint compound will fill it,
softball size? i'd find a scrap piece of sheetrock, cut it square just a little bigger than the hole, mark around it with a pencil over the hole. cut that square out. find a small board that fits in the hole and is 4inches longer than your square. slide the board in the wall, hold it and put 2 inches on both sides of the square. screw through the wall into the board on both sides of the hole. then put your first cut out piece in the hole and screw that to the board. then a small film of joint compound or spackling over the edges to blend the 2 pieces together.
good luck
joint compound
what? ohh come on! every one knows that!gobuy some ducktape to cover it.
Go to your local home improvement store and purchase a patch kit, you may need a small tub of spackle to go along with it. Either that, or, purchase a roll of spackle tape and small tub of spackle. Spackle around the hole place the tape over the hole. Wait until it dries than light sand ans repaint. But wait at least 24 hours before painting! Good Luck!!
If it is a really small hole, just cover it with spackle, sand, and re paint. A little larger hole will require that the hole be covered with spackle tape, spackled, sanded, re-spackled and re-sanded until it is soooth. Once you do this, you will find it quite easy.
I will assume your talking about a sheet rock wall.
you can buy spackleing paste at any hardware or home improvement store. you smear it over the hole and let it dry then sand it off smooth and repaint as needed.
if the hole is larger use a paper towel behind it to support the paste till it drys.
What kind of wall? Sheetrock is easy. A little sheetrock mud and tape will take care of it. For a larger hole your gonna have to trim the old stuff back to put in a pice cut to fit, then do the mud and tape.
