How do you form the brick ledge and the foundation at the same time?

Question:

Answers:
The brick ledge is usually just the footing beneath the foundation and is poured before the foundation. The footing should be double the width of the foundation wall. So an 8" wall should have a 16" footing leaving you 4" on either side and providing a brick ledge.

When they set up the concrete forms they make it so wide and then where they want the brick veneer to start they step in they forms 4" or so, and continue up with the forms. In other others the bottom part of the foundation wall is thicker then the upper walls to allow for the brick. Good luck
