Should I paint my kitchen firecraker red?

Question:My kitchen is very small, with white cabinets and appliances. Black, white,& gray marble like counter tops (looks more gray from a distance) and beige floor. At the moment my walls are a boring white. Also, have a big picture window in kitchen, which means I have plenty of light. Your opinions please!

Answers:
If you truly like red! Think it will look good with counter tops and appliances. Also, think of using stainless steel cabinet door handles, drawer pulls, and anything else you use in kitchen. Sounds like a plan to me!!!

Sure,,thats bold,,I think it will look good if painted neatly.Iv always liked red & white in the kitchen.
No. Dark red is good though
yes, my kitchen is drumbeat red, and still perks me up when i enter it. I also have similar colors in my kitchen as far as cabinets and counter tops. Red is great!
Think about it: red, fire, cooking.NO! Bad mojo.
Paprika with white trim...
No. Red makes things look smaller and gives ppl a headache. Try a gently yellow or a light pink. Or even better a mint green! If you are looking for a good color combo..use baby blue and chocolate brown! MY FAVORITE! For some reason i think that they just go sooop perfect together!
sounds like a good idea!
I might try out a couple of shades of red. Firecracker Red sounds like a color you would really have to be in love with, which if you are, go for it.
I have a friend that did her kitchen in fire truck red, and it looked really good
red is definately the way to go! but which red is up to you. ^_^
Firecracker red seems like a pretty good color choice to match your appliances, etc.

One of my friends has a similar kitchen to the one you have and painted one wall firecracker red, another wall bright yellow, and another kind of a bold blue and I thought it looked really cool.
Go with what you like - maybe draw it first so you can see what it would look like, but as for advise .. no not red. My neighbor did it with similar small kitcken and it just didn't look right at all. Something about it I can't put my finger on it but it didn't work in the kitchen. Hope you get it how you want.
Sounds fabulous! Throw a red rug on the floor, too!
Sounds adorable - go for it!
yes, yes, and yes. you should definatly put some color into your kitchen.
that will really bring the resale value up (sic)
My kitchen is red and I love it, though it is more of a barn red. firecracker red is a bright red, do you really want to frighten yourself in the morning when you get up for your morning wake-me-up drink?...lol you might want to tone it down just a bit, so you don't get a head ache. just my opinion.=)
yes,

I would start with one wall first and live with it a few weeks before deciding; the whole kitchen sounds a bit much.
I have 3 white walls in my kitchen and I painted the fourth wall (over the table) in red and white checkerboard (like Purina logo) but I don*t think I could stand the whole kitchen like that. I also put shelves up there and have old, old, antique cooking stuff on the shelves; Old flat irons; bread boxes, rolling pins, coffee pots, cans, bottle, jars of corn, you name it. Everyone who has seen it , loves it.
Sounds great.
some reds look real good. first you need to prime that bright wite with a dark gray primer then paint red it works better that way trying to cover white you will need a lot of coats.
