How to frame a large mirror...?
Question:I have a big mirror 5'x 3' and I already chipped a corner because it isn't framed or mounted at least on some plywood or something.
I use it for dancing so I just need to mount it on something so it won't break if I move it from room to room and to prop up against a wall.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

i would get 4 pieces of 1x4x6' miter the corners nail, glue, and L bracket them together like a window .router out a channel all around the inside so the mirror fits into it. use glass holders like for screen doors to hold the mirror in place
get a peice of 3/4 plywood cut to size aboyt three inchs bigger on each size a but some mirror clips and mount the mirror to th ply
If you don't care that it's permanent, you can use Liquid Nails or some other industrial grade adhesive and glue it to a 3/8" or 1/2" sheet of plywood. If you want a nice wood border, over-cut the plywood a bit so you can attach a frame to it using glue or small nails.
piece of wood and glue the mirror to the wood then take some corner trim and glue around the corner
