How do I hang this aluminum star that my wife bought on our house?
Question:She bought this 2 foot aluminum star at a craft store she wants hung. It has a loop at the top to be hung from and I was just going to drill a hole in the siding, put an anchor in, and screw a hook in, then hang it from there, but we live in a windy area and I'm not sure that will be enough to keep it there. How else should I hang it?

Get some self-tapping screws that are at least 1 1/2" long and some small diameter aluminum wire. Cut the wire into short lengths just long enough to make a U-shaped design that will cover the arms of the star and still have enough length to wrap around the screw. What I am suggesting is to make a U-bolt type design and use two screws as your nuts on a U-bolt.
Mount the star to a sturdy price of weather resistant board, then screw the board to the house.
