Help!!!!!!i got sharpie all over a wooden table and my mom will be back any minute how do i get it out
Question:its my mom's favorite table!!
Answers:
Got a younger sibling to blame it on? HAHA
My wife swears by magic eraser, good luck.
just color the rest of it, maybe she wont notice.
Wait for you mom to get back. The table might be an antique and need special attention. Anything you do right now may ruin the value of the table. Professions know how to get out stuff like that without too much more damage.
Denatured alchohol will get it out, and unfortunately it will either cloud up or remove the finish from the table top also. best bet is to say sorry and start crying a lot!
Good luck. Wood and Sharpies don't mix. You might try nail polish remover, however, it might damage the table.
Goo Gone might also work, but once again it might harm the wood. Try it on a small area first.
Good Luck!
ahahah you're screwed no jk the same thing happened to me but with nail polish remover and it ATE away the wood lol you're mom will be ok just cover it up! :D hope all goes well
Tell your mom and later, you could rubbing alcohol if it's not an antique.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will get out sharpie. But I would fess up to your mom first, then let her know that you can possibly get it out. It won't damage the wood either.
rubbing really hard w/ a textured surface like a wet dishcloth should help, it might take a little while, or try isopropyl alcohol, see if that works. Only do this if its not an antique!
definitely tell your mom & try spraying alot of hairspray on it and wipe it with a cotton cloth or towel ,but tell your mom first.
rubbing alcohol
if you try and do anything it'll probly get worse and she'll get madder, so it's probly best to just tell her without delaying then when you tell her, ask if she knows how YOU (make sure she knows that you will clean it up) can clean it. good luck =D
Use a body spray. They are alcohol-based. The alcohol level should be mild enough so that it won't damage the wood surface, yet sufficient enough to get rid of the permanent marker .
I am constantly getting marks on my desk with my sharpies and luckily I always have body spray with me in my purse.
Use motor oil as a varnish and polish
