The steps to a shower?
Question:What are your steps to taking a shower?
Answers:
Get in, put body wash on puff and clean my ***.
1. Get in, wet hair and put up in a bun to get it out of the way.
2. *Optional* Shave legs if they need it. Skin is very sensitive so can't do this more than every 3-4 days.
3. Wash face.
4. Wash body (with a washcloth - those puff things collect massive amounts of bacteria!).
5. Shave underarms.
6. Take hair down and shampoo (I lather and rinse, but no repeat).
7. Put conditioner in hair and comb it through thoroughly with a wide tooth comb.
8. Rinse hair and any soap left on the rest of me.
Unfortunately, this process takes me way too long... 25-30 minutes, and that's if I don't shave my legs! I do have a bit of OCD though, and don't feel clean unless I scrub every inch... and also very thick, long hair... so washing it and rinsing takes forever!! Drives my boyfriend crazy though because he's always waiting on me to get out of the shower.
I don't usually look forward to my daily shower because it takes me too long, but I am trying to get it done a bit faster (used to be 45 minutes!).
20 minutes is too long, wastes water, and wastes energy to heat the water. On ship in the Navy when fresh water must be conserved, the procedure for showering is this:
Turn on the water.
Wet your body, usually takes about 10 seconds.
Turn off the water.
Soap up, scrub, shave, brush teeth, whatever.
Turn the water back on and rinse off, usually can be done in about one minute.
get in water and use soap
