Can i cut a door to size with a 10" table saw?

Question:

Answers:
Sure. But I`ve always found it easier and quicker with a circular saw. Just scribe your line with a utility knife and cut to the line. This will prevent splintering. A guide clamped to the door is also helpful.

You can trim the bottom to make space for carpet or whatever you need with a table saw. But if you cut around the door it will not fit in the door frame. There will be a gap all around where you cut it between it and the door frame.
Yes you can depending on the door
Yes, did it all the time when I worked at door shop, just as long as you have the room to do it, and the out feed too...Sometimes just as easy to use a skil saw with a sharp blade and straight edge. Also masking tape where you make the cut to prevent tear-out..
Yes you can but it's quicker and safer with a circular saw
Yes, you can and in my experience you get a little cleaner cut with a table saw. You will need a helper to hold the door or a good table that is the same height as your saw. If you use your table saw be careful. Make sure you push the door straight through without letting it bind up the blade. Also watch out for the piece you are cutting off. If it is a small piece and the blade catches the piece it can shoot it out. I had one fly out and it put a hole in the sheet rock. If it is rubbing carpet, I would suggest measuring from the carpet to the bottom of the lower door hinge on the jamb. Then measure from the lower hinge on the door. Then subtract and inch. This will be where you will want to cut your door. You should have about an inch clearance between the door and the carpet.
