How do you make a hole in a wall to vent a tumble drier ?
Question:The wall is made from breeze blocks and brick. Thanks.
Answers:
all you need is a 4" hole you could do that with a hammer and chisel its not hard to take brick out from the middle of a wall just make sure you're out side cover is big enough to cover the rough cut and screw every thing in and that's all it will look like it's been there for years i did that before and it was easy
In the USA and Canada, call Lowes or Home Depot.
They have simple precise directions.
If you had the bucks you could get a diamond bit core drill. Back to reality, you can use a roto hammer and drill through the brick, just use the template they gave you and draw a circle and keep drilling the holes until you have it done.
call a foundation company , they will come drill a nice n, neat four inch hole in the wall for around 50 to 75 bucks!! they have the proper equipment and the hole will be nice and neat with no leaks and no problems!! other wise by the time u buy hydraulic concrete and expanding foam to stop the laeks that is what you are gonna spend anyway if not more!! so my suggestion is to go professional!! i installed a wood stove in a basement and it cost me about 100 bucks for a 12" hole though! they were done in a half hour and all is well to this day!! good luck
hammer & chisel you need a 4 " hole...
buy an bbraisive blade for your skill saw & cut a 4 " squae hole first on both sides, ( pilot hole so you can find center outside ) chisel the rest
