Mr Stupid Asking..?
Question:I have moved into a house with Laminate floors and in the living room there are black marks on the floor (not scratches ) . What I want to know is what can I use as a cleaner.? I've tried the usual wood soaps and stuff but no good so any help is appreciated.

a normal eraser should shift them they sound like heel marks
pencil rubber ? somtimes workz
go to home depo and ask
Try an eraser - it works for a lot stains, or else a very light kitchen scrub pad - you know the sponge with the potscrub on the back - that might work.

Maybe rubber from shoes, solvent based like turps will do it but don't pour it, use it on a cloth! Oh and put your *** out!

Nail varnish remover may help use on a tiny area first just to make sure its doesn't harm the floor but it shouldn't. This advice was given to me by the store i bought the floor from.
Go to Woolworths and get one of those eraser things, you can cut and use the amount you want!
If you have already tried the rubber (pencil eraser) then try 'baby wipes' they remove all manner of things.
I find that ceramic hob cleaner works. Use it sparingly and GENTLY as you don't want to scratch the surface of the laminate. It's good for scuff marks on most household surfaces.
strong concentrate of fairy liquid and vinegar with a dish scourer. A lot of the marks are from shoes it worked on mine
On a damp cloth, add a little bit of Dawn dish soap to it, & rub on the spot. I have a vinyl kitchen floor & have removed black marks on my floor by using Dawn. I rinse the areas with a damp cloth after using Dawn on it & wipe it dry. Hope it works for you.
Try using a Belt Sander with 60 Grit sandpaper and go to town. This will take all the marks up and the surface of the laminate.
Finger nail polish remover.
reading through the previous answers. some people are trying to ruin your floor. DO NOT use any abrasives on laminate flooring. They are made from either fine chip board or mdf with a paper thin coating of printed resin loaded finish, any scratches you put in will be permament.
Laminate flooring will tolerate limited periods of wet. it is safe to wash it over with water and defergent providing you dont flood the floor.
any marks that resist a wash over usually come off with a rub with a piece of cloth or paper towel and a dab of spirit either meths or terps
Whatever you use remember to always brus/scrub/ etc with the grain of the supposed wood, one small stroke across the grain = an hours work getting it out.
a white toothpaste works also. not a gel one though.
have you tried WD 40?
White spirit normally works .
in my experience remove laminate its crap anyway
Before you use anything.try a magic eraser by Mr. clean, they work fabulous!!!!
Did you try a scotch bright pad with a little floor cleaner - or those new Mr. Clean erasers work on black heel marks on laminate floors. Just don't scrub too hard... :-) Good luck!
I use wet wipes on my floor works a treat
A little dishwasher detergent in water is a really good cleaner. You can also get a product called "New Beginnings" made by Armstrong. It's amazing stuff. It got years of yellow buildup off an old linoleum floor, bringing it to near-new condition. Works very well on spots, marks, stains, etc.
use a mr. clean majic eraser
try acetate available at good diy stores pour drop on cloth should wipe off
