How to clean air conditioning drain line and maintain?

Question:what is the best way for preventative maintenance on a/c drain line...

Answers:
you can use compessed air or a water hose to clean out the drain line..you can pour some bleach down the drain every once in a while to prevent anything from growing inside the drain line..if you change your filters regularly the drain line will stay relatively clean ...

Periodically blow it out with compressed air or rout it out with a wire snake or cable. Normally, 3/4" PVC is used for these lines, so you could cut the drain line into manageable lengths, clean them, and reglue using couplings. Having the correct downward pitch on the line helps prevent slimy deposits from forming in the line.
Flush out the line with either compressed air or a garden hose. Then pour a mixture of one part bleach to 3 parts water down the line. Should only need about one cup. This will kill bacteria growing in the line.
I work at a school (27 years in building maintenance) and the least expensive and safest way we maintain the drains is once a month we pour a little bleach in them. That keeps that stuff from growing in them.
if open now just bleach full strength, or diluted
if iwas a real nut... while the unit was not running, i'd plug the ternimal end, & fill it with the bleach solution to make sure bleach covered all alge growth & killed it let it sit for an hour then open...when you see them blown out from being stopped up, it's green & yellow **** - alge
