My shower drain is plugged up!?

Question:I used the plunger and hair came out and I cleaned it up. But the water is just now sitting there and wont go down the drain. I don't know what to do help. The house is kind of old I think but the stupid metal drain that is visible always is coming off. Please help me so I can get the shampoo out of my hair!

First keep trying to use the plunger to suck out whatever's still in there. Do this by making sure you have a good seal around the drain with the plunger. If your shower/tub has an overflow for water to drain if it's overfilled, make sure you plug this with a damp rag as well to get a good vacuum. Then slowly push down on the plunger and then pull up real hard to try to suck out whatever's still stuck. If that doesn't produce any new hair after about 10 minutes you may have to rent a Drain Snake from a hardware store like Home Depot. A 25 Ft one is a good size to get the clog and either be able to pull it out or push it forward to the 4 inch line. You may want to find someone a little more knowledgable with that tool.

After you clear the clog, try to take better care of your drain. Avoid combing or brushing your hair while in the shower and pour a cup of bleach down the drain once a week or so.

Use Drano- its works amazinglyyy. Pour some down- let it sit- then wash it down with HOT water and your problem is solved.!
Use the plunger if that does not work try liquid Drano
Grab a screwdriver and take the grate covering the drain off. Use a snake or wire coat hanger to clean out as much as you can and finish it off with drano.
