My attic fan does not have a belt. The motor is squeaking very loudly. Any suggestions?

Shut it off. Replace it.
It may need to be lubricated.
You can go and spray some "light" oil on the ends and if that makes it stop, then its probably your bushings or bearings that are making the noise, (make sure the fan is "off" and power is "off" before doing this), but, it will only be a "short gap" solution... My guess is the bearings need replaced, when they start to squeak, or the bushing needs to be replaced...(harder yet)... If its just needs oiled, that is, if you have "pads" on the ends, like a regular motor would, then you just put some light oil on it, every 4 months, and that would take care of it...
If the squeaking persists a week after you oil it up, then you will need to either replace it, or remove it and take it to a place that repairs fans and get new bushings put in, or bearings, depending on the fan model...(lower cost fans have bushings, higher cost fans have bearings).
I wish you well...

Can you physically get to the fan? If yes, check for small holes to add oil into. If you see no holes, can you get oil to the shaft behind the fan blade? Add so oil--"W-D-40"--or "3 in 1" oil--anywhere that may have a moving part. Turn it off first, then turn back on--hoping the oil will work into the moving parts.
It needs to be lubricated, and as long as you are going to the trouble of crawling around the attic through all the insulation and cobwebs, be sure to write down everything you see on the nameplate of the motor, that way when it finally blows up you can go buy a replacement the same day.or maybe even have one there ready to install.
