What is the best and simple way to seal the windows and doors for an airconditioned room?

Question:As we have an air conditioner in our room that has three doors and two windows, much of the cool air is leaked through the gaps b/w windows and their frames and from between doors and its frames. Please tell me how can I do something that will help prevent these air leaks?

N.B. The air conditioner is split type.

Use weather stripping for the doors, and you can put some plastic on the Windows so that the air doesnt "leak". (I would use clear plastic on the inside "and" outside of the Window, since you dont have thermopane glass-->two sided thermo insulated glass, to keep the hot air out, and the cold air in).

Get some stripping on the door bottoms, (looks like round bead stripping with a strip on it to tack it to the door, and it 'hugs' the floor while you move the door one way or the other, and closes securely and keeps out warm air or cold air from escaping).

Remember the sockets! They leak a lot of air too, and you can buy some foam backing for them to keep the warm air from getting in and the cold air from getting out!

Now, if you dont have insulation in the closet...KEEP THE DOOR OPEN!! You may have mold growing in there, if its in contact with an outside wall, and air doesnt move in there, and it just starts to "bleed water on the inside of the closet and since there is no air circulation, can produce mold! I have seen many closets do this and a whole wall is "green" with mold!

A ceiling fan is great for an a/c room! Keep it in the reversed position when using a/c.

I wish you well...

Use weather stripping from your local hardware store.
I guess, in my experience and observation, all houses have some leaks on it through the doors and windows. And there's not permanent cure for that, because as the house gets older, the gap becomes bigger.
You can buy a sealer from the hardware store and seal parts of windows (not the whole window) that applicable to do so.

Get a towel and roll it and use it to seal the gap on both door and window.

Or get a big piece of plastic and tape it on it and remove the tape after each use.

Unless you want to renovate and change your window and door for that purpose, I don't know if you want to do that.

I have that problem too in my other house I just seal it with towels and try not to use the window or open the door all the time.

Hope this help.
the best way is to use caulking, and foam insulation.
I came across a newer product it looks like clear silicone you use in a caulking gun but you seal your windows closed and it peals off real easy and wont disturb the paint.
ues silocone calk in the window gaps and issulate strips around doors.
