Can i put a rag in the microwave?

Question:[wet rag]

Answers:
Well it depends on what's on that rag. Nothing combustible or burnable like gas or oil. Do NOT microwave a dry rag either. If it gets too hot and it's dry it may catch fire. When they came out with that study a few months back about disinfecting sponges by microwaving them, people started putting dry sponges in there and fires were being started. A wet rag with just water should be fine.

Yes, you can, Its good that its wet because a dry one would catch fire! But just to be extra safe, but it in a freezer/sandwich bag while you do it. These make great warm compresses for boils n stuff.
I nuk dishrags all the time. It's supposed to kill germs.
My sister stores her kitchen sponge in there, to disinfect it between uses. Of course she puts it in wet, don't ever put anything dry in there, at least if some bozo might turn it on.
