I am having trouble with hornets and bees around my above ground pool deck...?
Question:I can get rid of them everywhere else in my yard, but not in the deck near my above ground pool. I have allergies to them, and need other options. My neighbors have cats that come in my yard daily, and I don't want to use something too poisonous or strong. [Those poor cats have been through enough- the neighbor on the other side ripped out the cat's whiskers!] I have only tried Raid-type sprays. Any suggestions?

I had this happen in the past, my wife used a spray bottle with pure clorox in it and sprayed the nest, it is also good for ants, roaches and spiders. they will die fast. hope this will help.There is a product called: Chinese Chalk.
Any Asian store carries it. about $1.00 for 5 or 6 sticks. It is harmless to animals and humans, but to small insects and bees, wasps and hornets, it's murder
How about a few of those brigh yellow bee/wasp traps?
don't but the raid wasp and hornet traps that are dk green and filled with a liquid. not a one will go inside.
as for your neighbor and the cats if you have proof he did that you can call police non emergency and report animal abuse and they will contact the right people or tell you who to call next. that is wrong and he should not get away with that
give them all a dose of .mothballs...they are the greatest critter-ridder,,,,mothballs work
Call an exterminator. They can come in with what amounts to a big vaccum sweeper and suck the critters out. They can sell them to places that make anti-venom. Does everybody a good turn.
