Maybe if you turned the faucet handle under the sink to the cold water pipe it would be alright.
Crawl onder sink, turn the left knob clockwise.
You have a partial blockage between the faucet and the pipe connection or you may have connected it to the cold water connection. You didn't say if it is a combo unit or separate
