Regarding removing wallpaper, I am able to peel it off with little effort?

Question:In some spots it takes a little paper off the drywall but overall I would say its pretty easy. Should I still get the steamer and putty knife to take it off? Is the paper from the drywall a big deal or is ok to remove a little here and there.

Answers:
If it's coming off easy, use really hot water...as hot as you can handle...and wipe off the glue that remains behind. Get some drywall mud and fill all spots where paper has come off or where you gouge the drywall. Then after it dries sand it off and apply a coat of primer/sealer. When that dries paint away and you'll see a nice smooth finish when you're done.

An easy and inexpensive way to get that wall paper down is warm water and vinegar. Put it in a spray bottle and peel it the wall paper down. If its about to fall off you don't need the steamer and putty knife.
a little bit of paper coming off with the removal is ok you might want to skim coat the torn areas with patching compound and lightly sand smooth when dry
I would get a spray bottle and remove the difficult spots with a stronger that reccomended mix of DIF and hot water (available @ walmart). The spots that you have already made will need to be primered, then skim coated with drywall mud, lightly sanded, then the mud spots need to be primered. Also if you are not planning on removing the glue you will need to sand the walls to knock the glue down so your finish will be smoother. I would use the rough side of a drywall sanding sponge for this. Then you have to Primer over the glue with an oilbased primer to keep it from bleeding through the finish coat. Good luck:)
Get a spray bottle and dampen the wall paper with water to soften the glue. You can pull it off in large sheets without damaging the drywall behind it.
You can paint right over it too. Just use a primer. It will take less effort and time.
