Put in a brand new toilet with new wax ring-it leaked at base. Put on 2nd wax ring, still leaks.?
Question:What else should I check? I didn't see any cracks. I won't caulk until I figure out what is causing this leak. I don't want to ruin my new floor tile job with this water leak. HELP PLEASE!

does the wax ring have a plastic like funnel in the center... when you set the toilet did the ring move off the collar in the floor... when you set it did you feel the wax compress... if not try a thick wax ring or stack a new one on top (one with out the plastic ring )... chances are the tile is higher than the toilet clleer and you are not seating propperly. NEVER CUALK AROUND YOUR TOLIET...If it does leak you won't know till your in the basement. Maybe alittle in the front... for athstetics
you need a wax ring with an extension,this extension is made out of plastic,that should do the trick.
If the tile you installed raised the floor you might need to get an extra thick wax ring, sold at home stores, Or you might look into a no wax rubber gasket
is this your 1st attempt at doing this?
make sure its not leaking at the tank to bowl bolts.. it can run down the back side.. maybe pour bucket water in the bowl and see if it leaks. get a bigger (taller) wax ring or stack a small ring ontop of the other. the horn goes down into the floor (not sure it would fit the other way)
make sure it is not the bolts that hold the tank on. run some tissue paper at that area to check for moisture. Also check that the fill valve tube is in the overflow tube is were it belongs. Some times this will come out and spray the lid and leak down the back and it seams like the wax ring is leaking. Also ckeck the water supply line. Paper towels and tissues go along way for finding a leak. A very bright flash light and a little mirror help also.
Did you get the large size? I use the regular size, and have not had any issues before. Did you put it down just as the box diagramed? If so, I would try the larger size.

You're doing it wrong.
They make a ring that has extra wax..twice as thick..and di you get the proper size of wax ring? they do not just come in one size you know.
